[tag]Cheating wife stories[/tag] abound. Along with the spy video, web cam and ‘helpful’ stories about bored cheating housewives. In fact, they’re about four times as likely to be mentioned as signs of cheating men or of a cheating husband.

Surprise, surprise, then, that it’s the women who seem most keen to employ the services of outfits that specialize in setting – and springing – what they call ‘the honey trap’.

Apparently many women are prepared to pay another woman to seduce their boyfriends or husbands just to see if the man is open to temptation and, most importantly, if he’s willing to succumb!

“Many Brides To Be are using Honey Trap Agencies to test whether their future life partners are ready and willing to have sex with other women,” says ‘Cheatcatcher‘ on his blog.

He quotes Agency owner Fay Jackson: “Out of all the honey trap ’stings’ I’ve set up, around 75% of the men make it clear they want sex,” she said… “If the guy is open to offers and is prepared to cheat, then he shouldn’t be getting married full stop.”

Such entrapment would be unlikely to hold up in a court of law, but you can bet such exercises are changing lives.

Think about it. Such services probably come up in two circumstances – when girls want to ‘test’ a partner or prospective partner, or when they suspect their man is cheating. (If you know it’s happening, you’ll be hiding your head in the sand or taking much more drastic action.)

What would you do in such circumstances?

Novel thought… would you talk about it with him? Not nice, certainly, but if there is real doubt or facts, and you want the relationship to survive, it’s a fairly good place to start. And even after a confrontational exercise like this one, talk will be required.

Of you could simply buy a book called How To Catch Your Cheating Lover. It promises to teach you how to find out in just three minutes whether (among other things) your partner is cheating on you…

Now, I know there are all sorts of extreme emotions triggered by doubts and suspicion of cheating. Probably as explosive as those aroused by discovery and proof of cheating. And interestingly, women who cheat are often considered to top those ranges when they hear of reciprocal arrangements.

And I also know about the despair. Loss of trust is devastating.

What you need to do is get past that pit – for your own sake. Figure out which way you want your life – long term – to go, and therefore what today’s decision has to be. Do you walk, or do you turn things around?
