Writing love letters used to be an all-consuming passion for lovers in days gone by. I have worn and yellowed postcards and tattered pages of letters my great grandparents wrote to one another when they were apart. They make amazing reading! So formal! Yet so deep.

And when you think that they probably took several months to be delivered, it really is a far cry from the instant-ness (is that a word?) we take for granted today.

But these days, you rarely ever see a love letter. I certainly don’t count Instant Messenger emoticons as real love letters – do you? Which makes the real ones – hand-written, on touchy-feely paper – hugely special.

Now, I certainly don’t advocate returning to the formality of yesterday when you’re penning your [tag]love letters[/tag], but there are certain things that work, and certain things that completely fail to convey the emotions and romance you intend.

And figuring out what to put on paper really can get a bit hard, can’t it?

One solution is to take a template. Use it as the basis to get your thoughts in line, perhaps steal a phrase here and there, but overall, make it fit your personality and that of your beloved.

One place you get such templates is Perfect Love Letters. Busy people, writers whose first language is something other than English (but whose lover is English-speaking) and simply people who are tongue-tied with a pen in their hand, all find them useful.

“Having access to the Perfect Love Letters package is like having a personal adviser at your side,” owner Michael Ferrell says. “We help you put your feelings into words to express your love and commitment. It will save you time, money and more importantly create the perfect impression every time.”

If you’re in need of some impressive love letters, you could do worse than to check out Perfect Love Letters.
