RSS Feeds Available From MarriageSite

What Is RSS?

(Skip this section if you already know about RSS  – simply add the feeds below to your reader.)

You may have seen little orange “RSS” or “XML” buttons around the Internet and wondered what they are…

“RSS” means “Really Simple Syndication”. When you “subscribe” to a site’s RSS feed, the information from that feed is sent directly to you. No need to keep going back to the site to check for updates. XML means “Extensible Markup Language”. It’s the computer language that RSS uses.

How do you get started? Easy -download a free RSS Reader. This is special software that reads the [tag]RSS feeds[/tag]…

Windows — RssReader
http://www.rssreader.com/

Mac — NetNewsWire
http://ranchero.com/netnewswire/

Once your feed reader is set up, here’s all you have to do…

Right-click (control-click for Mac users) on any RSS button on a site, blog or news source that interests you.

Add Feeds
Grab the MarriageSite OPML/XML file from
http://marriagesite.info/msite.xml
and instantly add all our feeds to your feed reader at once. Just click the ‘add feeds’ button in your reader and point it to that link.

Then select Copy Shortcut (“Copy Link to Clipboard” for Mac, “Copy Link Location” for Firefox browsers), and paste that URL into your RSS Reader.

And that’s it! You’re subscribed. Now, whenever that web site or blog updates that topic, it will automatically appear in your news reader.

EXAMPLE: Say you want a feed from MarriageSite that includes any post that mentions “love letters”. Just type love letters in the box above and a page full of XML gibberish will appear. Copy the url of that page (the web site address) and add it to your favorite reader.

You get this feed and all the items that are CURRENTLY at MarriageSite, and every time I post in the future about love letters, the feed will automatically update!
